How to play Truth or Dare

Two options, no easy way out: either you confess or you act. It's the game that turns a regular night into the one everybody talks about the next day.

    From 2 people up. The phone keeps track of whose turn it is, so nobody slips away.

    On your turn you decide: truth, and you answer a question honestly, or dare, and you do whatever comes up in front of everyone.

    No cheating: the group decides if the answer counts or if the dare was done right.

  4. 4Free pass

    If you're not feeling a question or a dare, you can pass: a sip, water or a different dare. Nobody has to do anything.

What is Truth or Dare?

Truth or Dare is probably the best-known group game in the world. The rules fit in one sentence: on your turn, you choose between answering a question honestly or doing a dare.

What makes it so good is that it adapts to any group: with mild questions it's perfect for breaking the ice, and with the spicy ones it becomes a game for couples or very close friends.

How to pick good truth or dare questions and dares

The best truth questions are specific and lead to a story: “What was your worst night out ever?” works way better than “Have you ever lied?”. The best dares can be done right then and there, with no props and no risk: impressions, singing, dancing, telling a story in a ridiculous voice…

Save the bold questions for halfway through the game. And one golden rule: no dangerous, illegal or humiliating dares. If a dare wouldn't be fun for the person doing it, it's not a good dare.
